Over his career, he has built and led high-performing teams across multinational environments, designing center-led procurement organizations within complex matrix structures and delivering lasting impact on operational performance and cost competitiveness.

Manfred’s expertise spans direct and indirect commodity management, low-cost country sourcing initiatives, and the integration of e-sourcing tools into Lean manufacturing environments. Known for his dynamic, results-driven leadership style, he consistently fosters collaboration, builds consensus, and drives sustainable change across organizations. His transformative work at Fortive (a Danaher spin-off), ASP of Switzerland (a Fortive company), Leica Corporation, and Hengstler Corporation (Danaher) has resulted in significant cost reductions, improved cash flow, optimized inventory levels, and materially reduced supply chain risk. In addition to his operational leadership, Manfred has spent more than a decade as a Lean Trainer and Train-the-Trainer (TTT) facilitator, embedding structured problem-solving and Lean thinking deep into supply chain and procurement functions.
