Mike brings nearly forty years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and evolving Lean Business Systems across more than 350 organizations worldwide. His work has generated over $8 billion in measurable financial impact, transformed thousands of workplaces, saved countless lives, and contributed to more than seventy Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence recognitions.

A master practitioner and teacher of Lean principles, Mike has personally coached Command and Executive Leadership teams through complex transformations — from battery manufacturing to nuclear carrier overhaul — within organizations ranging in size from 19 to 55,000 employees. As a founding contributor to the Lean Certification Alliance, he helped develop the first nationally recognized Lean Certification program. Over his career, he has led or facilitated hundreds of Kaizens and spent a decade studying under direct protégés of Taiichi Ohno, the father of the Toyota Production System.
