Jerry’s operational excellence credentials are rooted in his time at Danaher, where he served as a Danaher Business System Leader (DBSL) at both the operating company and corporate levels. He played a key role in deploying DBS at Beckman Coulter following its acquisition. His Lean and continuous improvement journey continued at Ingersoll Rand and Trane Technologies, where he developed and led enterprise-wide operational excellence strategies at the strategic business unit (SBU) level.
Beyond operations, Jerry has applied lean principles across a broad spectrum of business functions, including Sales, Service, Product Management, Product Development, HR, IT, Business Development, and Finance. He has been mentored by some of the most respected figures in the lean community, including Robert “Doc” Hall (Kelley School of Business), Rick Harris (Harris Lean Systems), and various sensei from Shingijutsu, Danaher, and Simpler.
Jerry is known for his systems thinking and ability to integrate lean tools into a cohesive, enterprise-wide business system that delivers sustainable competitive advantage. As a coach and teacher, he excels at translating complex lean concepts into simple, relatable, and actionable insights—accelerating learning and embedding lasting change.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an MBA in Operations Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
