Kathryn is an experienced lean practitioner with the Lean Focus team. Ever since graduate school, Kathryn’s passion for continuous improvement has come through in her work. Kathryn started in industry in chemical R&D. After her company was purchased by Danaher, Kathryn quickly embraced the Danaher Business System and has spent over 20 years implementing DBS in chemical and instrument manufacturing operations, distribution and service centers, as well as transactional processes. She has led or participated in over 250 kaizen events and held Global Danaher Business System and Quality Responsibility for one of Danaher’s most mature lean companies, Hach. In this role, she was instrumental in reducing external defects globally by greater than 50%.
