Carolyn is a Senior Vice President, Operations Practice – Europe at Lean Focus. She is a dynamic, results-driven business leader with deep expertise in manufacturing operations, lean transformation, transactional process optimization, engineering, and commercial excellence. With more than 40 years of international leadership experience across multiple industries, Carolyn is renowned for designing and driving large-scale business transformations that deliver measurable operational and financial impact.
Throughout her career, she has consistently led enterprise-wide improvements by embedding lean thinking, developing strategic roadmaps, and building organizational capability.
Carolyn spent more than a decade with Danaher Corporation, where she held senior leadership roles within the Danaher Business System (DBS) Office and led lean transformations across Europe, North America, and Asia. She later served as Head of Global Continuous Improvement for Royal Philips in Amsterdam, earning multiple CEO Awards—including the 2018 Operational Excellence Award—for her impact on operational performance.
Her leadership track record also includes executive roles at PerkinElmer and General Motors, where she successfully implemented lean systems, led plant operations, and mentored high-performing global teams.
Carolyn holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and an M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University.
