Vice President, Growth & Innovation Practice

Tom is a Vice President in the Lean Focus Growth and Innovation Practice. For over 25 years, Tom has used lean principles to lead growth and innovation initiatives ranging from large global commercial transformations, to scrappy, start-up innovations, to M&A integrations, delivering breakthrough results in product & portfolio management, sales, marketing, services, operations, eCommerce, IT and M&A through VP, P&L owner, and consulting roles for such companies as Danaher, Fortive, 3M, Envista and Honeywell.


Tom is trained in lean business operating systems and leadership from the above companies. He has a deep understanding of how to use lean tools in complex cross-functional environments to strengthen relationships and cultivate a Growth Mindset that unifies growth and innovation teams on a common goal.

Tom has led award winning teams recognized by CEO’s for delivering results while helping transform operations through lean practices. As Product and Marketing leader at Danaher, he drove the strategy, innovation and positioning of new technology in a flagship product line to 3x growth for the next 4 years.  As Product and Innovation leader at Honeywell, he led a platform strategy and ideation process to increase new product velocity by 10x, taking share and delivering company leading profitability for the next 5 years.  As CMO/VP of Global Marketing at Fortive, Tom led the CEO Kaizen winning team to launch eCommerce in-house and become a top-5 channel in a >$billion OpCo, then increase omni-channel Marketing impact by ~350% the next year while executing a digital transformation and world class customer experience (CX) recognized by Gartner. At Envista, as VP Commercial Excellence, he drove sales effectiveness initiative to improve quota achievement to >80%, and a pricing initiative that delivered up to 500 bps YOY for multiple years.


Tom holds a BA in Economics from University of Illinois (C/U), and an MBA in Marketing and in Operations Management from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University (Bloomington).
