Torsten has been a practitioner of lean principles for more than 25 years. Learning from Komatsu Lean Consultants the first lean tools, he transformed the Manufacturing Operations within Henniges into a lean culture. At Hach Berlin, he changed the culture from an “old-style” family business to a continuous improvement organization, while still honoring the strength of the family business. The results of this were recognized by Danaher, as they received “Best Plant World-Wide within Danaher” in 2015 and 2016. He has held ever increasing roles of responsibility in operations leading up to Global Vice-President of Danaher’s most advanced lean maturity businesses in Hach. He was one of the key drivers to install the Danaher Reliability System to improve Quality to best-in-class. At the Danaher Dental platform, he worked on the development and implementation of a strategy to improved the competitiveness of the platform with a focus on their main Factory in Biberach.  At Wilkhahn, he drove improvement at all levels of the company to get sustainable results using lean principles.
